Standard African Violet (Harmony) – Leaf Chimera. This variety can only be propagated by suckers (possibly flower stalks, have not located anyone who has tried this so I am currently experimenting). This plants has high variability and the flowers may be purple or purple and white. The foliage is always variegated but some plants have a metallic glitter through the center of each leaf.
Standard African violet (Arkhipov)
I always come back to keeping miniature african violets. I have nothing against standards, and usually keep a few of those too. However, I like the minis since they allow me to keep many varieties in a smaller amount of space. I’m just getting going, so stay tuned for more.
